This year in Northern and Southern California there have been massive amounts of fires due to climate change, high temperatures, and people being negligent and not cautious. Currently in Northern California we have the Mendocino National Forest fire which is 91% contained with 1,032,264 acres burned. We also have another wildfire in Fresno county that is currently 61% contained with 352,339 acres burned. Another wildfire in the Sequoia National Forest has burned 168,595 acres and is currently 73% contained. Lastly we have another wildfire North of Durock Road and South of Highway 50 between Cameron Park Drive and Ponderosa Road in El Dorado county with only 15 acres burned and the fire being nearly completely contained with 98%. Practice safe camping if you are currently in our National forests and keep a look out for your home or business if your in a fire zone.
